I've been married for almost 9 years. (BTW: no children from the marriage, but I had 2 children from a previous marriage) The last couple of years sucked hard. I finally told him I wanted a divorce when he was being a huge dick! He moved out that night. He was being an incrediblely bigger dick than ever, calling the police on me, clearing out all the bank accounts, stealing things that are very sentmental to me (coin collection my late grandma gave me), etc. I sent him a copy of the divorce papers. He didnt agree so they have not been filed yet. Then he immediately starts talking about reconcilliation. His solution is for him to live 300 miles away and come home (to me) every other weekend. That wont change or fix the problems in our marriage, just put a 'band-aid' on them. I told him no, I cant live with a marriage under those terms. I told him I didnt think there was anything to work out. I understand there's nothing to work out. And I'm trying to move on. Dont get me wrong, I loved the man I married, but the man he became, I could not stand. Here's my question: Do I push for the divorce so it can finally be over, or do I chill awhile and let him have the time he needs to reach the same conclusion?
