I have way too many interests to list here or even remember in one sitting. My main obsession is Japanese culture and language. I've spent time in Japan and studied the language both here and while I was over there. I'm not particularly good at it, but I managed to make my way through rural Japan with my mediocre Japanese, so I'm satisfied with it for now. I love many aspects of the culture, and play the Shakuhachi, a vertical Bamboo flute. Obviously, I love music and beyond the Shakuhachi I played the Trumpet for 8 years. That was more of a school interest... I've since stopped playing it.

I'm also intrigued by religion, and spend a lot of time reading and interacting with members of different faiths. Finally, I have an avid interest in hopology, probably stemming from my studies in classics, Japan and my military background.


Oh, almost forgot. Cats. I love them. I probably love my two cats more than most people.
