Video Games
Not really a big gamer, since the "modern" video game revolution hit after I'd largely outgrown them, but I *do* enjoy watching my son and his friends play sometimes--their reactions are better than the games themselves!
I tend to read during my downtime--some science fiction, high fantasy (big fan of George Martin, and I've taught classes on JRR Tolkien!) and non-fiction (especially European history). But I'll read just about anything if it's at-hand--couldn't very well call myself an English major if I didn't!
Music
Generally speaking, I'm a fan of classical (Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Shostakovitch, etc.) and classic rock (aka "fossil rock") especially Pink Floyd, Boston, Journey, Kansas, Foreigner, etc. I also have a soft spot for a lot of 80's stuff, just because I was in HS and college at the time and the stuff (even the crap) kind of stuck in my head!
