I've been on my feet since 6pm working at our annual FD parade/carnival. Chief wants us to come in at 8am to do clean up. Most of the work is lifting heavy items, and walking up and down the streets picking up garbage.

Keep in mind, I have a slipped disk in my lower back, and I can handle about 15 minutes of work at a time before I have to sit down and rest.

A. Should I get doped up on Advil, suck it up and go?

Or

B. Should I leave the heavy work to the young kids and sleep in?
