My girlfriend is a part-time smoker. She smokes one or two cigarettes at home most days. We live in a second-floor apartment, so she usually goes out on the balcony to smoke, since she knows I can't stand the smell of it. A couple of times recently the balcony was covered with snow and/or ice and she smoked inside with the door open. Anyway, the point is that now the living room smells vaguely like smoke. No matter how much I air the room out with the door open, or light scented candles, eventually when the door is closed or the candle is out, the smell is still there. So then the room feels stuffy and smoky, which I can't stand.
So, being that keeping the balcony door open on a regular basis isn't much of an option when she's home (she's one of those people that's always freezing if the temperature is under 80 degrees), what can I do to get rid of the smell? |
