Quick recap
I teach 6th grade and my daughter goes to school where I teach. She is in 4th grade and was told by the physical education teacher to "shut up" yesterday. This alone has me seething but to top it off, it turns out he frequently talks to the students in that way AND he grabbed a student by the arm yesterday leaving a mark. It's taking everything within me to not rip this guys head off, as seeing the expression and sadness on my daughters face as tears welled in her eyes had me seeing red. I have already decided I will not be returning to this school next year (this isn't an isolated incident as there are a multitude of other issues at the school right now) and so my question or what I'm asking is this. As far as future career goals go, is it the worst thing to get out of education at this time?
