| so my friend has a 4 year old little girl who is so far behind it's not funny. She can't count to 5, and doesn't know her colors or her letters. I taught 3 year olds for a few yeears and by June the kids were counting to 20, could write and recognize all of the letters pluc pick out small words that began with the letters and knew about 30 colors. This kid is going to be so far behind in school and they're not even considering putting her in a school in the fall. I feel like as a friend and past child care giver I should say something to her so she can better prepare her daughter but on the other hand I feel like it's none of my business and I should stay out of it so she doesn't get really pissed off at me. soooo....do I tell her or mind my own business? |
