We put up walls to protect ourselves
From people in our lives
But what we don’t realize
Is that the walls we put up are just keeping us
From experiencing life
We live behind these barriers
Trying to keep out
The feelings of sorrow and doubt
That we’d like to live without
But without experiencing these things
We can not know the joys of life and
The feelings of sacrifice
With our walls up around us
We shut out the possibility of love
A life of happiness we can’t experience
If we live in the box
So gradually break down those walls
It takes great strength and will power
But in the end you will find
That it is better to break down the walls
Than to be left behind
