I was having a conversation with a neighbor who said he made alot of errors in judgement in the past and thought the show "Earl" or something where the whole theme is about righting the wrong or helping those you screwed over from your past would be cool to do, but wasn't sure where to start.. He is only 34yrs and was a service brat so he thought back with regards to people he said he would write and never did with his family bouncing everywhere...But as we yapped I was thinking about some folks suggest finding the right time...
With parents when stuff is lingering or they hold a grudge sorry's seem to never get said or you rather avoid hatching a topic that would stew a sorry. But I learned my parents as I got older, realize when I apologize it is usually sincere.. I don't make a habit of hurting or getting is apology settings,but those that know me get that I mean what I say..
Which brought back what my neighbor's concern was...He said like the "Boy that cry wolf" folks tend to read him as "A day late" type guy and its because when we start saying sorry we can't nothing back.. I thinkg when women say they are sorry it is to defuse a situation or to feel better about themselves or have hopes that they can get something for it..Praise,make up sex,shopping freedom, and whatever... But us guys for whatever reason when we apologize its because we dug such a big hole for ourselves that is all we have left.. Do us guys at a young age not learn the sorry 3 weeks later doesn't mean as much if done earlier... I told my neighbor, I ask if a problem exist first and gauge whether a apology should follow..Heck I learn apologizing even if I haven't done anything is usually safer then nothing...
But what about you folks out there??? Do you wait too long, rush the I'm sorry's, and how can you control giving too many sorry's.
