I have a friend for about 4 yrs now, since meeting her I knew she was in a bad relationship with the father of her child, over the years I've seen and she's confirmed it gets pretty bad from raping and cheating to beating even in front of the kids a few times. I always try having her back,I've given her options to get away to a safe place, last week he physically hit her again and as usual she said she's done and had enough this time it's different but again just a few days later he's right back in. She's helped me thru a lot and is such an awesome person but he's always dragging her down, never does anything for her or the kids and doesn't even have a job or ever did,she supports the whole family by herself. Over the weekend she found out that during their relationship he's had two other children and she's already let him back in,even talking about marriage now. I've been trying my best to be a good friend but I'm getting tired of trying to find help for her it seems she'll never use,I'm constantly telling her she doesn't deserve the things he does. I'm at a point now that if you already know that dog bites stop trying to pet him,I don't know what to do or say to her anymore. Should I tell her the truth I feel my efforts are exhausted and stay out of it? Should I continue to try to help? Sorry for this long novel but I'm truly concerned about her...I don't want to lose her. |
