Last night while I was on air djing... my ex girlfriend of 4 years, whom I had recently broken up with last Thanksgiving called in and proposed to me on air. This was completly out the sky blue and shocked me because it was such a bitter breakup, that I even moved out of state and had not emailed, called or messaged. After moving out of our house, I was hellbent on never having anything to do with her again. But quiet as kept I still loved her, but resigned myself to keeping it to myself and getting over it on my own. Plus its more fish in the sea and Ive got the right bait.
Long story short..after she called in my email box was flooded with listeners asking what was I gonna say ?
After I spun 2 or 3 more slow jams I mic'd up and announced that I would marry her and loved her very dearly. I also apologized for my part in our breakup and explained to the world that sometimes its not worth losing someone over that you care about simply behind pride and foolish reasons.
Now its also important to factor in the equation that we met in a Yahoo chatroom, states apart, and wound up living together my question is do you believe web romances actually work ?
Because in this rare case, it seems we're about to get our happy ending. |
