I don't consider myself very religious, but I was watching the story of Jesus on the Discovery Channel, and they were talking about how Jesus was said to be born of a virgin mother, Mary.
Scientists say that it was possible, but not probable and speculated that since being an unwed mother back in those times meant that you were shunned, stoned to death, or drowned in a well, the tall tale of the immaculate conception was created.
Do you think that Jesus was born from a virgin mother, or that Mary and Joseph did the nasty before they were wed, and the virgin birth story was created for Mary to save face. |
