| My parents and I have never been really close. I was not my mom's favorite daughter, my older sister was. When my older sister died at 30, my mom wanted she and I to be close. I had a not so good childhood, okay, they were terrible parents. My grandfather, lived next to my parents, and I loved him very much. I went home 2 or three times a year to see them and spend time with my grandfather. My gradfather died last year, and I could'nt bring myself to go to his funeral.......so I did'nt, and I completely cut off contact with my family this whole year. Now, I want to at least try to put an end to this, and start speaking to them again. Should I call them up, or how should I break the ice, or should I? |
